Zass is the renowned restaurant located in the San Pietro hotel, which is an Amalfi Coast icon.

Featured highlight: The John Dory fish, fragrantly infused with lemon, is complemented by a purée of potatoes prepared with buffalo-milk yogurt and fresh seasonal vegetables.

The Belgian chef Alois Vanlangenaeker has been at the helm of Zass for over two decades, meticulously crafting dishes that elevate traditional Mediterranean flavors while adding a distinct local and regional twist. The restaurant's culinary tradition takes guests on a sensory journey, starting from the first bite of a fragrant Margherita pizza and moving on to sophisticated dishes that shine with elegant creativity. Dishes include fresh ingredients that come directly from the restaurant's own organic garden. The innovative menu offers an array of meat and seafood dishes, including the celebrated lemon-infused San Pietro fish, complemented by buffalo yogurt mashed potatoes, seasonal vegetables, and the restaurant's famed Champagne-truffle sauce. Impeccable fine-dining service is enhanced with live piano music and a dreamlike terrace, making for an experience that will long be remembered and cherished.

Overpriced, bland, but exceptional service and ambiance.

Exceptional service, bland and overpriced food. We did three Michelin star restaurants in the past week and this had by far the worst food. We had the tasting menu at all locations, including Zass. It was unanimous that nothing really had much taste and was a poor value. One of the dishes we were served as part of the 7 courses for €200 was spaghetti with tomatoes, about as basic as you can get.... If you are looking for great service and ambiance, they do that very well. Food quality however, is in desperate need of attention if they want to justify the price point. Recommend avoiding as it has become a tourist trap.

Amazing amazing amazing. One of the top Michelin restaurants I’ve been to. Best to take a water taxi here because the restaurant is literally on a cliff on the water and takes longer to access it by car.

I have to say this restaurant was an absolute rip-off. The setting was stunning and service was fine although the restaurant itself looks and feels a bit “old world” stuffy. However The major issue is the food - which was bland, tasteless and very uninspiring (as was the menu in hindsight) which when you’re spending several hundred euros on dinner for two is simply unacceptable. Please do not believe the sporadic hype about Zass - waking up the next morning., All I could think about was all the lovely places nearby that we could and should’ve gone too. Stay away.

Obviously when you dine at a Michelin-starred restaurant, you have high expectations. Zass not only met, but exceeded those expectations. The food was fantastic and was beautifully presented. The staff (waiter, sommelier and servers) were extremely attentive and helpful, without being pushy. The setting is amazing and don’t miss out on the fabulous terrace adjoining the restaurant. Strongly recommend.
