With the arrival of June, summer is officially upon us! Beaches on the Amalfi Coast fill with bathers from the beginning of the month, boats and yachts buzz along the coastline, and there is a festive summer atmosphere everywhere you look. This is a great month to visit the coast, though you will have to deal with the first of the summer crowds, especially on the weekend.

Beach Days
June is the best month of the year for a day on the beach, perhaps ending with a sunset cocktail.
Praiano is the best coastal village for a sunset view... from the village square, the view stretches to the Faraglioni off the coast of Capri.

Nightlife
Days are longer in June, and the sunset can be as late at 9 pm. Nightlife is pushed later into the evening, with dinner after sunset and then cocktails or an evening stroll through town at midnight. That said, don't expect to dance til dawn: the Amalfi Coast is more geared toward couples having late romantic dinners and a nightcap than rocking the night away at the club. There are only two discos: Music on the Rocks in Positano on the Spiaggia Grande beach, and Africana in Praiano, set inside a sea cave long the water.
