What is the difference between a private transfer and a taxi?
Private transfers are booked ahead of time and have a fixed rate agreed upon in advance. You driver will wait for you at the meeting place (the arrivals gate at the airport, for example) holding a sign with your name and accompany you to the car or minivan. On the other hand, if you take a taxi you'll book on the spot and pay according to the meter or the fixed fare. You'll be responsible for finding your own taxi by waiting in the queue at a designated taxi stand.
What kinds of vehicles are used for private transfers?
Private transfers use more luxurious vehicles than taxis; usually Mercedes sedans and minivans. All the vehicles are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized after each client.
What happens if my flight is delayed?
When you book, we ask you for your flight (or train) number so the driver can monitor your flight information for any delays and meet you at your arrival time. There is no surcharge for late arrivals.
What will I receive after I book?
Immediately upon booking, you'll receive a voucher with all the details of your reservation and the contact information of the driver or transfer company. That way you can get in touch with them directly if you need any additional information or need to modify your booking.
Do I have to print the voucher?
No, just keep a copy on your mobile device for reference.
How will I find my driver?
Your driver will meet you at the arrivals gate exit or train platform holding a sign with your name. If you're being picked up at your hotel or other accommodation, your driver will meet you at the front entrance.
What happens if I can't find my driver?
It's highly unlikely that you won't be able to find your driver; however, if it does happen you can call the phone number indicated on the voucher that you received at the time of booking. These cell phone numbers are operational 24/7.
Do private transfers drop me off at my hotel?
Yes, as long as your hotel isn't in a pedestrian area. In Positano and on the Amalfi Coast, there are many hotels that can only be reached on foot. In these cases, the driver will take get as close as possible to the hotel and, if necessary, contact the hotel porter to assist you with your bags.
Do the drivers speak English?
All drivers speak English and Italian, and some speak additional languages. During the ride, your driver can share commentary about the landmarks you pass and, upon request, stop to let you snap photos at scenic spots along the route.
Can I pay by credit card?
Yes, all vehicles are equipped with mobile credit card machines for payment.
What are the payment and cancellation policies?
